I lost a lot of these pictures from my blog. So i thought I would repost them again for fun.
These were some builds I made about 10 ten years ago. These were all built with PCB that mounts the pots and jacks. I etched some design on some of the boxes. There are a few images in there of this process.
Some etched boxes. This is a Big Muff clone.
This is a PCB that mounts a stomp switch, jacks, and is wired for an LED. I had this idea ten years ago and had a few of these made. It worked pretty well.
It’s a compressor, might be a good one, I can’t tell. From what I here the best compressors are the ones that make you ask “is this thing on?” Easy build worked on the first test.
I love the hype and description of the Anticthon. I’m a big fan of the of beat, and less popular effects. I’ll take the oddball every time over the tried and true. I got this and couldn’t get into it.
I was thinking about building one of these myself, then I saw this used on Reverb.com for $99 and free shipping. I was hard to beat. The effort to build it woul been worth $99.
I always wanted one of these. Then I saw this on Reverb.com for a $160 + free shipping. That seemed very reasonable. It works surprisingly well. Interesting construction, looks like this is built from three boards. A small stripboard, looks like a bespoke SHO, attached to the Volume pot. Then there is the…
This is a multiplex Jr from 1776 I like this better than the zero point from mad bean. The zero point has more options, but I think the sound is better on the Jr. The difference is really slim. They are both built on almost the same PT2399 core.
Really just a Woolly Mammoth clone. I used some rubber stamps and Stazon ink to decorate the box. It’s sporting an obnoxiously bright green LED. The LED is probably the only thing I don’t like about this box. This is a mastodon fuzz pcb from music pcb. It’s a small pcb that mounts on the…
this is a great project. The pcb is well done, and helps make building a complex project easier. The sound is great also. The controls are all relevant . The extra footswitch changes the delay time. This effect is subtle. It also seems the first time you step on the switch it takes a few…
This sounds really good. The difference between the 5 and 6 stages is very noticeable. Overall a very musical effect. I built this from a madbean pcb. The layout was great and everything went together well. I drilled a 125B sized box following the drilling guide but, couldn’t get it to fit in the box!…
