I’m buying parts and Tayda Electronics is no longer cheapest. I’m sure how I feel about this. Shipping and Tariffs on an order I’m putting together are $50!
I made a similar cart at StompBoxParts.com and shipping is $17.75 for second day air. I took a look at LoveMySwitches.com and they offer $9.99 flat rate.
That really makes the decision difficult. While you can’t get as much stuff LoveMySwitches.com, if you’re shopping for knobs, pots, jacks, enclosures they might be the better deal. My order came out to $8.50 USPS ground.
StompBoxParts.com has more stuff, most every part you’d need. Their choice of knobs and and enclosures are limited but acceptable. Without all of the enclosures knobs and pots, shipping is only ab out $7.00.
Tayda Electronics has almost everything at the cheapest price but, I had to get my cart up to $150 before they started to break even with StompBoxParts.com.
The best balance might be to order from StompBoxParts.com and LoveMySwitches. Shipping might be cheaper for small parts at StompBoxParts.com, while taking advantage of $9.99 flat rate at LoveMySwitches.com.
In the end I opted for to split the order between StompBoxParts.com and StompBoxParts.com. This seemed be about the best deal. I really didn’t have to give up much, and I bet shipping will be faster.
