Pedal Building at Noisebridge

Thanks to everyone who came to the pedal building event at Noisebridge on Nov. 1, 2025. Great to see new faces, and always great to see returning hackers! The energy was excellent — I attribute this to the enthusiasm of the participants, thanks!

A few people started new projects. I was happy that there was a lot of interest in the Vulcan by Joe Davisson. This is an underrated project, and I’m glad we could give it some recognition.

Here are a few pictures from the event. My social media skills are weak — no special lighting, nothing posed — this is the event as it was, in the electronics room at Noisebridge.

This last picture shows some of the boards participants were building at this event. These boards were generously donated by PCBWay.com.

If you haven’t heard of them, PCBWay is an awesome place to turn your circuit ideas into reality. Got an idea and want a fast turnaround? PCBWay has your back — upload your Gerbers, click Quote, and in as little as 24 hours you can have a custom, lab-ready board in hand. Their prototyping service starts at $5 for 10 boards under 100 mm × 100 mm, which makes it perfect for pedal builders. I’ve used the service extensively and have never had a problem — they’re always fast, reliable, and easy to work with. Check out my other posts for more examples!
